I am in full Christmas planning mode now, at least the bits for the kids. I have just finished putting together their stocking fillers and thought it might be helpful to share in case you are looking for ideas.
Several of the items included in this post were gifted to me in my Blog On Christmas goody bag, however the ones selected are my personal recommendations.
Stockings have to be my favourite part of Christmas and there are so many different options you can include.

Sensory Stocking Stuffers
Both my boys are sensory seekers particularly my 7 year old and we tend to go through lots of small sensory items over the year. Christmas is my chance to stock up on some more sensory and fiddle toys.

Squisy and squeezy toys are usually a hit along with the light up spike ball. The dinosaur squeeze ball is a great fun. The banana shape toy above is a Orb Odditeez Fuzion Foods toy, you can peel back the skin to get to the tactile squeezy middle that has more of a watery texture so something a bit different. The cat in the duck costume is a Soft’ N Slow Squishies Costume Cutiez where the costumes are swapable with other characters.
Fiddle toys are another popular stocking filler in our house. My son will love the Finger Magnet Rings which are the new fidget spinner.
Magicube’s from GeoMag are great magnetic cubes for stacking we have the Paw Patrol set below but you can get many other types such as Peppa Pig.

Slime is another sensory favourite so we will have a pot of So Slime in there too.
Rainbow Baff Bombz
The Rainbow Baff Bombz was good fun you can see it in action over on my Instagram Reel. Zimpli Kids do some great sensory products to make bathtime fun that are ideal stocking fillers. See my review of Slime and Gelli Baff.

Favourite Things
I always try to include my kids favourite things. My niece loves My Little Pony so she will be getting the sea pony. My youngest loves plush toys and last year he got the Dog from Room on The Broom, this year he will be getting a Ferdinand plush from his favourite film.

Stationary is always a good little gift that will come in useful. The Pokemon notepad and pen will hopefully encourage some writing practice and Twistables for colouring. I really like the Little Brian Paint Stick below we tried it out and its paint but works the same was as pritt stick and the kids really enjoyed it so I plan to get some more. Mess free paint works for me!

Books
Although they never seem to fit in the actual stocking I always like to include a book or two. If you want any ideas for Christmas themed books check out my post on a book advent calendar.
A nice little addition is some Chistmas Mardles stickers that come to life with the augmented reality app.

Something Big
I like to include a bigger toy and I think my 7 year old will love the Geomag classic panels set I have for him. He is very into anything magnetic at the moment.

Don’t forget the edible treats
I always include something edible. A Selection box and or the classic chocolate coins for my chocolate loving son. His brother is not a chocolate fan so along with his satsuma he will be getting a bag of Haribo Christmas Trees.

What will be in your kids stocking this year?
Last year, we mainly put edibles in our son’s stocking, and that worked well for us, so I think we might do the same again this year. I’d quite like to try those paint sticks as well though 🙂 x
